Nvidia Joins India’s $2B Deep Tech Alliance as Founding Member
Nvidia has become a founding member and strategic technical adviser to India's DEEP Tech Alliance, a coalition with $2 billion in capital commitments. The chipmaker will provide developer training and technical guidance to AI startups, semiconductor ventures, space companies, robotics firms, and biotech startups.
The alliance, launched in September with $1 billion in initial commitments, has since doubled its funding as new investors joined. Nvidia's role focuses on technical support, offering access to its Deep Learning Institute curriculum and developer enablement programs rather than direct investment.
Vishal Dhupar, NVIDIA's Managing Director for South Asia, emphasized the significance of the partnership. The Nvidia AI mentorship program allows startups to access training modules and software Stacks without upfront GPU infrastructure costs—a critical advantage for early-stage teams navigating capital constraints.
